Week 2 EOC: Case Study Human Resources Managemnet in Action

Case Study: Human Resources Management in Action

When being the general manger to a hotel, I would support the actions of the housekeeping supervisor when hard work pays off. I would back up any department that needs my help if hard work showed but if the hard work if not there why give the support. “Fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family.” (Page 47)

My respond to Donna when she has maintain from not calling in sick and also taking other people shifts when they have called in sick many times before. I would support her to the fullest, Donna is a hard working person that show during her shifts and also being at work when needed or not. If Donna and hardworking why not support her during the times she needed the hotel’s management that all we can do to repay her. You would want the same support if you be working double the times when you did not have too. Donna did not chosen to leave her family during times we have called herself in to take someone else shifts or called her in at random times. People who are hardworking deserve the chance to get notice for the work. Companies who doesn’t give credit to people that deserves it lose their respect. Not giving the respect makes the people in the companies question management and wonder why they are working. Like for examples the television Undercover Boss where the CEO goes undercover throughout their companies to find mistake and feeling of their employments. But the very ending of the television the CEO help out some of the employees and fix their mistake throughout the companies for the better. That what I would do for Donna sticking by her side when she has not done anything wrong but show up the good. I would fight to get Donna for the hotel’s management and even maybe moving her position.
